The National Cadet Corps aspires to develop character and comradeship in young people, as well as a desire to serve and a potential for leadership. It trains young people for military service and creates a ready reserve that the Armed Forces can call on in times of national disaster. A variety of incentives are available to encourage pupils to become cadets. NCC pushes cadets to perform to their best by granting scholarships, financial awards, prizes, medals, trophies, and other incentives in addition to being an additional merit when wanting to join the army or take up other occupations.
1.To develop qualities of character, courage, commandership, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen.
2.To create a human resource of organized trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the nation.
